Malekhi Obande

Malekhi rushed for 123 yards on 13 carries in his varsity debut for the Crusaders, and he scored the game-winning touchdown on a 59-yard run as Unity Christian came back from down (21-0) to beat Allendale (38-31).

Week 2

Cade Klimczak

Team: Rockford
Class: Senior
Position: DE/TE

Cade had 3 solo tackles, 1 assist and 1 QB sack at defensive end, and then he caught a 20 yard TD pass in Rockford's 36-0 win over rival Lowell.

Week 4

Eason Hardouin

Team: Grand Rapids Christian
Class: Junior
Position: QB

12/19 189 yards passing and 2 TDS with 1 INT - Eason also caught a TD pass in Grand Rapids Christian's 30-14 victory over old City League rival West Catholic!

Week 5

Jarel Jackson

Team: Jenison
Class: Senior
Position: RB

(20-12) Win over rival Hudsonville Jarel led the Wildcats in rushing with 152 yards on 17 carries and scored the winning touchdown with a 78-yard run. He also had 187 all-purpose yards for the game, and the win improved Jenison's record to (4-1) on the season! (Photo Credit: MLive.com)

Week 6

Kolby Swank

Team: Cedar Springs
Class: Senior
Position: QB

Kolby was pretty much picture perfect in running the Red Hawks Wing "T" offense against Forest Hills Central in the second half! Cedar Springs got a big road victory in the OK-White with a 24-14 come from behind victory over the Rangers to improve to (5-1) and put themselves in the driver's seat to win the conference crown. Kolby was 5-8 passing for 47 yards and a touchdown and rushed the ball 5 times for 24 yards, but no turnovers in leading the Red Hawks rushing attack that racked up 300 yards on 60 carries for the night!

Week 7

Cam Terry

Team: Grandville
Class: Sophomore
Position: RB

Helped lead the Bulldogs to an impressive 28-21 victory over West Ottawa in OK-Red Conference play. Terry carried the ball 21 times for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Panthers, including a 58-yard touchdown run that was the game winner!

Week 8

Cameron Martinez

Team: Muskegon
Class: Junior
Position: QB

23 carries for 352 yards rushing and 6 TDs in their 55-35 win over previously unbeaten Muskegon Mona Shores! The Big Reds improved to (8-0) with the victory and earned a share of the OK-Black Conference crown. (Photo courtesy of: Craig Smith)

Week 9

Josh Ledesma

Team: East Kentwood
Class: Junior
Position: RB/LB

2 rushing TDs and 14 tackles (4 for loss) and a forced fumble in the Falcons (28-17) win over Rockford, which also claimed for East Kentwood the outright OK-Red Conference crown!

Week 10

Max Buikema

Team: Unity Christian
Class: Senior
Position: RB/DE

Max carried the ball 14 times for 94 yards and 3 touchdowns and had 6 tackles and a sack as a DE in Unity Christian's (41-22) Division 5 Pre-District win over 5-time defending state champion West Catholic!

Week 11

Gabe Taylor

Team: Zeeland East
Class: Senior
Position: QB

Gabe led the Zeeland East Chix to their first ever playoff win over rival school Zeeland West (42-24) in the Division 3 District championship game! Taylor had a four touchdown performance in the victory, rushing for 162 yards and 2 TDs on 25 carries, and he also threw for 2 more scores going 6/11 passing for 133 yards.

Week 12

Cameron Martinez

Team: Muskegon
Class: Junior
Position: QB

Cam rushed for 4 TDs and over 250 yards in the bitter cold at Grand Haven High School as Muskegon won a Division 3 regional championship over Cedar Springs (34-18)! The Big Reds are now (12-0) on the season and have won 26 straight games. They will face Zeeland East this week in a Division 3 Semifinal game to try to earn a trip back to Ford Field to defend their Division 3 state championship!

Week 13

Isaac TeSlaa

Team: Unity Christian
Class: Junior
Position: QB

Isaac, a two-way starter for Unity Christian, did a great job of managing the game for the Crusaders last Saturday in their Division 5 Semifinal win (14-7) over Saginaw Swan Valley. He was 3 for 4 through the air for 47 yards and a touchdown, and he also rushed the ball 18 times for 37 yards and the Crusaders other touchdown. With the win, Unity Christian advances to their first ever state final game in school history!
